Marra Bridge Ltd is a registered Australian charity with the ACNC. We exist for community benefit - not profit. We are driven by a simple belief: support should be clear, accessible, ethical, and centred on people.

From the Founder

Why I founded Marra Bridge

Sanjay Gill - Founder and Managing Director

My journey in the disability and community sector spans over six years, across direct support, service delivery, support coordination, Local Area Coordination, and community capacity building.

I began as a Support Worker, where I learned the importance of dignity, consistency, listening, and truly person-centred support in people's everyday lives.

Through Assistant Support Coordinator and Service Coordinator roles, I supported community-based participants and SIL environments, gaining a strong understanding of safe service delivery, clear communication, ethical leadership, and accountability.

As a Local Area Coordinator and Community Capacity Builder, I developed a broader understanding of the NDIS system, including access, funding, policy, and the challenges people face when navigating services.

These experiences showed me where people often fall through the gaps - especially during hospital discharge, life transitions, mental health recovery, and NDIS access - and why strong coordination between NDIS, community, and mainstream supports is so important.

Founding Marra Bridge is the result of everything I have learned across these roles.

What we bring as an organisation

  • A system-level understanding of the NDIS, informed by Local Area Coordination and community capacity-building roles
  • A strong commitment to ethical practice, transparency, and choice
  • A belief that support should build capacity, not dependency
  • A clear understanding that NDIS, community, and mainstream systems must work together

Marra Bridge was created to be a bridge - between people and systems, between hospitals and communities, and between policy and lived experience. We exist to support individuals to understand their options, build confidence, and make informed choices, whether they are accessing the NDIS for the first time, navigating a complex plan, or relying on community and mainstream supports.

Above all, I believe that people should never feel powerless in systems designed to support them.

Marra Bridge's work is guided by that belief - every conversation, every referral, and every pathway we support.

Trust and accountability

Marra Bridge Ltd is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Marra Bridge is not currently a registered NDIS provider; we support self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.

Safeguarding: we are committed to protecting the safety and wellbeing of every person we work with, including people with disability, older people, and people experiencing crisis, homelessness, or involvement with the justice system.

Conflict of interest: every decision affecting a participant or the organisation is made transparently and in that person's best interest. Actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest are declared and managed, and anyone with a declared conflict does not take part in decisions affected by it.
