This page summarises how Marra Bridge handles personal information collected through this website, in plain language. It sits alongside, and does not replace, our full Privacy Policy (PDF, 7 KB), which is our governing policy document.

What our website forms collect

Depending on which form you use, we may collect: your name, phone number and email; for referrals, the participant's name, date of birth, NDIS status and support needs; preferred contact method and communication or accessibility requirements; the reason for a referral or enquiry; and any files you choose to upload. Our contact form only requires a first name and either a phone number or email. Our complaints form allows you to leave your name, phone and email blank.

Why we collect it

We collect this information to respond to enquiries, assess and act on referrals, and to receive and respond to complaints, compliments and suggestions. We only ask for what is relevant to the form you are using.

Sensitive and health information

Referral and complaints forms may involve sensitive information, such as details about disability or health. Sensitive information receives extra protection under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and we only use it for the purpose it was provided.

Information received from third parties

Where a referral is submitted by someone other than the participant - such as a family member, hospital or other professional - we handle the participant's information in line with our Privacy & Confidentiality Policy, including the consent information provided as part of that referral.

File uploads

Files uploaded through our referral or complaints forms are transmitted securely and are not publicly accessible on our website. They are forwarded by email to the relevant Marra Bridge inbox and then removed from our web server.

Website hosting and email delivery

This website is built on WordPress. Form submissions are delivered by email to Marra Bridge's own mailboxes; they are not stored in a public-facing part of the website. We are confirming with our hosting provider whether website data is stored on servers within Australia or overseas, and will update this page once confirmed.

Analytics and cookies

This website does not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. A small number of website animation scripts are loaded from a third-party content delivery network; no personal information is shared with that provider. If Marra Bridge introduces analytics in future (for example, to understand website usage), this page will be updated to describe it.

Retention and deletion

Information is retained for the periods set out in our Record Keeping & Documentation Policy, stored securely, and disposed of safely when no longer required.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe, and in any event within 30 days.

Raising a privacy concern

If you have a concern about how your personal information has been handled, you can contact us directly or use our Complaints & Feedback page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can raise the matter with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
